avswillwin writes " With Smyth gone the complete rebuild has begun. Duchene will most likely go back to juniors as he hasn’t signed a contract yet. I have the projected line-up as of now but I expect more changes to be made as we try to get younger still. I would think just about everyone is on the block except for Stastny and Quincey of course. " With how the Avs are doing this season,It's interesting to see how there fans weren't expecting anything, and yet look at them now. |

Kyle writes "According to TSN, Former New Jersey Devil and St Louis Blues Forward Mike Danton was transferred from an American jail to a jail in Kingston, where he is now eligibale for Parole. Danton has served four years of his 7 and a half year sentence for a murder for hire charge. If anyone remembers, in 2004 It was found out that he had tried to hire someone to kill a former coach.
It is believed that Mike Danton will try to continue his career in the NHL." I guess this falls in the whatever happened to? |

Kyle writes "This has been excerpted from TSN.ca
The Edmonton Oilers are denying a local report that Jaromir Jagr is close to joining the team.
According to the Edmonton Journal, a source says Jagr is close to finalizing a deal that would see him join the Oilers for the remainder of the season. However Jagr, who is playing with Omsk of Russia's Kontinental Hockey League, would have to clear waivers before returning to the NHL.
The source would not divulge how soon Jagr would join the Oilers, how much the deal would be worth or the length of the rumoured contract.
Now that defenceman Lubomir Visnovsky is out for the season with a shoulder injury, the Oilers have enough room under the slary cap to accomodate such a move.
Currently, the Oilers sit in ninth place in the Western Conference, just behind the Vancouver Canucks and the eighth and final playoff spot." |
