Rangers fans are crying and so are the people that boldly predicted he would be a Ranger, regardless of all the obstacles in the way.
It seems that the Rangers cap troubles were too hard to solve, and Sundin went for the next best option (and most lucrative) in Vancouver.
He aims to join the team around Dec 27th, and will leave it up to the coaches to decide when he is ready to play. Now speculation on line combinations can begin.

Here come the endless "Canucks will win the cup" rants.

The Rangers need there d to play better then another center. Sundin is a great player no doubt but is he really what we needed? I don't think so, the Rangers need Roszival to play more often like he did last night vs the Kings, and the other defencemen to step there games up.

Basically it boiled down to the only option left for Sundin, the Canucks. Not his first choice, his only choice as no other contender had the Cap space to sign him. Having said that, Sundin should solidify the Canucks chances of making the playoffs.
